Pallet, Found, Salvaged & Scrounged.

I had a great opportunity to teach a continuing education class at Haywood Community College.  The 8 week course focused on learning the fundamentals skills and techniques of wood working while utilizing found and re-purposed material..  We covered everything from wood's  characteristics as a medium to propper tool use and safety as well as basic joinery and furniture construction.  The class was a great success, with nine students leaving with a piece of furniture and all ten digits! I would like to thank all of the folks at HCC, students and faculty both, for a great experience. I look forward to doing it all again for the Spring 2014 semester.
