Hanging Beds

These hanging beds will provide a stylish perch to enjoy the Summer breeze and views of the lake.  Devising a  sub-frame and rope cleat system that allows for future adjustment and maintenance provided a fun design challenge.

 This Lamp was commissioned by a client and roughly based on a lamp seen in the background of an advertisement in a magazine. So I cannot take credit for the "overarching" concept. The real trick to this was routing the power cord through the center of the laminated curve so as not to be exposed and maintain a very clean look.

Kids Chairs.

This batch of children's  chairs were made originally for all of my expecting  friends and family.  Inspired by the Usonian work of Frank Loyd Wright and the Mid- Century aesthetic; simple forms, simple construction and brilliant colors.  These Baltic birch plywood chairs make a very stylish heirloom gift.

Rustic and Reclaimed Furniture

Pallet, Found, Salvaged & Scrounged...   These pieces were developed as prototypes for the class I have been teaching at Haywood County Community College.  My first class focused on utilizing found and salvaged materials while learning the fundamentals of woodworking.   My first endeavor into teaching was a lot of fun and nine students went home with all their fingers and  a rustic table or bench made from crate or pallet material!

Plant stand;
 Made from a shattered door found in an abandoned  warehouse.
